TY 14-161-200-2002 Seamless cold rolled Steel Tube used for automotive parts

Pipes are made of billet according to GOST 14-21, TY 14-1-1076 or to other regulations.

2. Technical requirements
2.1 Pipes are made from carbon steel grade 10 by GOST 1050 with decreased content of sulfur - - not more than 0,035%, phosphorus - not more than 0,035% and total content of sulfur and phosphorus not more than 0,060%.
Deviations in other components of chemical composition are by GOST 1050.
It’s allowed to manufacture pipes from steel with content of sulfur and phosphorus by GOST 1050 by agreement with a customer.
2.2 Mechanical characteristics of pipes should comply with requirements, indicated in Table 3.

Note: 1. Ultimate resistance for pipes with dimensions 36x2, 39x3,5 mm – 343(35)-441(45) N/mm2 (kgs/mm2).
2. Hardness of pipes with wall thickness 0,75 mm is not controlled.
3. Hardness of pipe’s metal with wall thickness 1,0 mm is measured on internal surface.
4. Control of hardness is not obligatory on condition that there is warranty from pipe’s factory of origin.
2.3 On the surface of the pipes cracks, film, flaws, blisters, sealing, exfoliated oxidized film and rust are not allowed.
Separate small dents, risks, traces of defects cleaning are allowed if they don’t lead the dimensions of pipes out of the limitations of negative allowed deviations.
Presence of non-exfoliated oxidized film or change of surface color, which is the result of heat treatment, can’t be considered a defect.
2.4 Ends of pipes should be cut off at right angles and cleaned from burrs on external and internal surfaces.
2.5 Pipes, which work under pressure (which should be stipulated in the order) should endure hydraulic pressure test not less than:
- with heat treatment 1,5 MPa (15 kgs/cm2)
- without heat treatment 2,0 MPa (20 kgs/cm2)
Factory of origin is allowed to guarantee ability of pipes to endure hydraulic pressure without procedure of tests.
2.6 Pipes, which have been subject to heat treatment, are put to test of dispensation of conic mandrel with angle of 60 degrees till internal diameters of pipes with dimensions 36x2, 39x3,5 will increase for 30 %, and other dimensions – on 25 %.
Pipes with dimensions 5x0,75, 9x1,0; 8x internal 4; 21x internal14, 21xext.16,5 are not put to test of dispensation.
